Shawn (my dad) was sent a letter from a lawyer for release of the child asking if he would take care of her or be adopted. He chose adopted. He wanted to fly back and get her, but he was mowing lawns for money and didn't think he could give her a good life.\n\nDianne married Shawn in 1970. Moved to walla walla. Around a year later she went back to Missouri where her parents lived in Springfield. 9 months later he received the letter.\n\nMothers residence in 1970 was Mississippi, but he says she's from Missouri. \n\nHe can't peg down a specific time, but I think the birth year is between 1971-1973. \n\nBirth city may be Springfield and state Missouri since that is the last place he knew her to be.
