The birth mother used a 'family' name of Giroux at the hospital/birth cert. but it was not her surname and she was ADOPTED, herself. She was 5'3' tall, 118 lbs and was Catholic from Montana and an only child. She had auburn hair and brown eyes. Her adpotive mother, Ethel Hankey, was of Norwegian/German descent and her adoptive father, Alva Deschenes, was of French descent they ran a dry cleaners in Butte, MT called Princess Cleaners. Both of her parents were born in 1909 and were 5'8' tall. Her father was musical and played lots of instruments and was in a band, Fred Harvey Band. Their daughter graduated from the Art Institute of Chicago, completing a 4 year degree in 3 and probably attended around 1948-1951 (graduated in 1952). She went to Los Angeles in 1952 to find work in commercial art but ended up working at Western Union.
The birth father was of Irish descent and from Missouri. He was in the military and divorced as of 1952. He had curly brown hair with blue-gray or blue-green eyes and was 5'10' and 140# in 1953. He had 2-3 sisters his father died in 1953 and was in his 60's and his mother was in her late 50's at that time. The birth father was never told of the pregnancy and probably does not know he has a son.
The birth mother had the baby baptized at St. Lorenzo's in LA and then rather quickly married and had a daughter by Jan. 1956. Her husband was named Alexander Findley Foreman and she had 4 children with him (2 girls, 2 boys: 1956, 1957, 1960, 1963). Both Marilyn and Al are deceased so we are still searching for the birth father and any information about the birth mother's own adoption in Montana.
