Additional Info
My adopted parents had a foster home. I was 6 wks premature. They got me when I was 3 wks old. We lived on Mac Donald Ave. in San Francisco for over 2 yrs. Then we moved to Redwood City, CA. Since I had been a ward of SF County, the only way my parents could take me was to adopt me. I was legally adopted when I was 3 yrs old. I remember going to the Court House with my parents. My adopted mother did say that my parents came to see me once or twice when I was a newborn. But she wasn't supposed to talk to them. She said my father was tall and had red hair. She thought they were older. (But my adopted mother was about 24 and only 5' tall.) They were not married.

I also remember my mother saying that when they wanted to adopt me, that my birth mother did not sign any papers to let me go. So they had to do a search for her. They found her brother, who did not know I had been born. He said he had several children and felt I should stay where I was. Interesting though, he did know where my mother was or have any other contact info.
