I have pretty detailed non-identifying information including interview notes from the Kansas City Cradle superintendent -- interviews with birth mother, her parents, siblings, The birth mother won seven prizes for local beauty pageants at fairs and sang in neighboring towns. She had dark curly hair, fair skin, dark eyes, and her sister said she looked like Hedy Lamarr. I believe her father retired from the Missouri General Utilities Company. Her brother in law and another sibling worked at a defense plant. The birth father had a history with juvenile court since childhood and was charged with desertion and cruelty by the birth mother. They were married. She kept the baby about three months before signing him over to the court in September, 1942. He was placed at the Kansas City Cradle on September 9, 1942 and adopted by Clinton and Betty Shelton.
