The information that was obtained did not have/give the names of my father's birth parents. Just basic information. His father was Caucasian, tall, dark brown hair, and blue eyes. Worked in a lumber mill in or around Sacramento area. He knew of the pregnancy but "disappeared.\\nHis mother had blue eyes, fair complexion and red hair. Was unmarried and not employed at the time. Her hobby was music. It was mentioned that she was quite ill prior to the birth but there was no hereditary history of disease or abnormality. She had a sister who was involved in contacting the Welfare Agency and a lawyer to help with adoption proceedings. The doctor who delivered was named Dr. Samuel Wells. On the adoption certificate of Live Birth the adoptive parents as listed were Muriel Ione Loomis (later Bennett), age 27 and the father was Ralph Merton Bennett, age 29. The adoption was finalized in San Luis Obispo, California on August 23rd, 1922.\\nThis document was on file in the office of Dr. Malcolm H. Merrill, MD, with the Department of Public Health, State of California and a copy was obtained and stamped on October, 28, 1957.
