Country music superstar is Faith Hill is best known for her hit songs, leading roles in films and her highly publisized marriage with fellow country singer, TIm McGraw. But in addition to all of her successes, Hill is also a proud adoptee.

Thestar was adopted domestically at just a few days old by Ted and EdnaPerry of Star, Mississippi. It is reported the couple wanted a daughterafter having two biological sons.

During a Good Housekeeping interview, Hill said despite her great family life, deep down she always had a desire to find her birth parents.

"Iwas adopted into this incredible home, a loving, positive environment,yet I had this yearning, this kind of darkness that was also insideme," Hill said during the interview.

Hill eventually tracked downher birth mother and met some of her other natural relatives as well,she said she was shocked at how much she resembled her biologicalfamily. And despite the darkness Hill once felt, she said the reuniondid not cause her any anger about the adoption.

"I have a lot ofrespect for my birth mother and no feelings of anger or any of that,"Hill said. "I know she must have had a lot of love for me to want togive me what she felt was a better chance."

Hill maintained a relationship with her natural mother for 15 years before she passed away in her sleep in 2007.

Hill and McGraw are now parents to three biological daughters.
