I know that her foster parents lived in Lancaster, CA when Yarika was placed with them, but I do not know if they are still there. I am almost positive they adopted her. I believe the foster/adoptive mothers name is Sandy (or Sandra) Johnston or Johnson, but do not know the foster/adoptive father's name. I know they had two older biological children when she was placed, and apparently the mother and bio kids have red hair. Yarika's hair was red as a baby. She would be 25 years old, and possibly with a different name, as searches of her name yield birth record only. Tried searching under different spellings as well, as Yarika is pronounced Erica, with the Y being silent, but that got me no closer. Our mother passed in 2007, and we found a letter and poem written to Yarika by our mom. It would mean a great deal to me to give those to her and meet her again, as she was a baby last I saw her.
