A lawyer showed up in my hospital room and asked if I would do a private adoption . I agreed. When he came with the paperwork he asked How much I wanted for my baby. I said I couldn't sell my baby. He said he had to give me $1.00 so I couldn't say he stole my baby! He told me to put the money in the church collection basket if I was uncomfortable. I saw him leaving with my baby and he said he had a signed consent form in his pocket. He had a Jewish sounding last name .
