I was born on or about August 6,1972 at CVPH (Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital) in Plattsburgh, New York, Clinton County. I weighed 6 lbs 14 oz and was 19 7/8 in long.There is some question of my birthdate being accurate. When speaking to my adoptive father about my birthdate he stated 'well, there has always been some question of your birthdate'.
I joined the NY state registry several years ago and have obtained non-id info: My birth mom was 24 at the time of my birth. I have 2 older siblings although gender and age is not specified. My birth mom signed the adoption paperwork on August 18,1972. It states that she was of Roman Catholic religion but signed a statement saying I could be raised in either a catholic or protestant family. The non-id information states that my bio mom reported some drinking at the time of my conception.. The medical portion only states that there was a history of high blood pressure, diabetes, and that my bio grandmother and great grandmother were very obese. my bio mom also reportd a two week hospital stay in 1968.
My adoption was handled by Clinton County Social Services and the case workers name was Joan Tyler. I was told I was placed in the care of a 'grandmotherly' type woman on Aug 11, 1972 until I was 3 months old. My adoptive parents, Larry and Nancy Lewis took me home on November 14,1972. To my knowledge, my adoption was finalized in Clinton county in either November or December of 1973.
