My husband was taken in and loved by the people he calls his parents Chuck and Peggy Cartwright. The adoption was never done legally, that is why he has his birth name. He found out that his parents were not his birthparents when he was about 8 years old. I think he found out at that time because of school and his last name. What he does know and we are not sure about that is that he mother was very ill and not able to take care of him, his fater was a truck driver. When he was about 7 months old he was given to his adoptive parents. We believe his mother has since past away we have no clue about his father.
