Amy's foster mother was Mrs. Rhoda Bond in Norfolk, NY. St. Lawrence County Dept. of Social Services i Canton, NY had some help with the adoption in connection to an unknown adoption agency that her adoptive parents dealt with. A paternity case was done in 1970 at the State of New York Family Court County of St. Lawrence. Honorable Judge George Follett was presiding. Neglect petitions filed on three children on Jan. 7, 27, 28th 1970; Mar. 19, 1970; May 29, 1970; and June 1, 1970. Mr. Francis Lavinge was the lawyer on the case from Massena, NY. Amy was hospitalized for malnutrion on Jan. 28, 1971. April 6, 1971 was sent to Dept. of social services. May 1973 petition filed for all three children to be released for adoption. In 1974 the release papers were finalized. Amy went to live with her adopted parents on Sept. 9, 1974 and her adoption was finalized on June 16, 1975. This information was provided by the Chief Clerk of the Family Court in Canton, NY in 1993. Both birth parents are deceased.
