I was born December 15, 1968 at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva NY...at 5:01 am.
I weighed 6 lbs 12.5 oz and was 18 1/2' long. I have brown hair, green eyes, and
average height. When my adopting parents got me from a foster home, I had a
cold and had a bottle of medicine that came with me with the name 'Beth', we
don't know if that name was given to me by my birth mother, the hospital or the
foster home that had me. The name my adoptive parents gave me was Melissa Mae
Marshall. My birth mother was 18 years old and a student. She was 5'3' weighed 120
lbs, light brown hair, green eyes fair complexion and medium to large boned.
My birth father was 24 years old. He was 5'8', slender build. He had dark brown
wavy hair, brown eyes and a fair complexion. The only mention of medical problem
that he had was ulcersHe had in interest in cars and was mechanically inclined.
My certificate of Adoption was filed in the state of New York County of Ontario,
December 10th, 1969. Oressa A. Brown was the Clerk of the Surrogates's court, Hon.
Joseph W Cribb was the judge that signed the adoption. My adopted parents names
are Edward R. Marshall Sr. and Margaret Marshall, at the time they lived on R.D.2
Smith Rd. Canandaigua, NY. The adoption was done by a private lawyer,
I believe it was my adoptive parents lawyer by the name of Robert Muehe,
phone number is 585-394-0564. He has since passed away, but I am under the
understanding that his son has taken over the practice. I did, at one time, call the
hospital, just to see if I could find out any information. I asked for the records dept
and got to talking to the lady, she pulled up myrecords and said, with an excited
voice, 'you were the only baby girl bornon that day' then her whole voice changed,
it got very quite and she said 'oh...you were adopted, I can't tell you anything'
and she rudely hung up the phone. This is all the information I have to go on.
I know it isn'tmuch, which is why I have been on this search for 28 long years.
I don't know if you can help me, but any info you can give me or any direction you
can point me would be greatly appreciated. I have registered with many of the adoption
registeries and will continue to register until I don't find any
more to register with. I have posted my info on FB and found a few pages on
there to hopefully help me. I will take any help I can get. Feel free
