Before any relinquishment papers could be signed, I became very ill in my study home (typical Holy Family Service placement before child was free for placement). I was hospitalized on August 9th and at one point, not expected to live, I was dehydrated to the point of going into shock. By August 14th I showed marked improvements and were taking formula. I was discharged from the hospital on August 22nd. Both of my birth parents visited me during my hospitalization.
