My adoptive parents were living in Utah and flew to San Bernardino

CA to pick me up. They also adopted a boy whose name is Brian

Kennedy Paul.



MY STORY:

My Name is Delsa Clair Tunby and I am an adopted child. My birth

grandmother sent my birth mother to a place for unwed mothers until

I was born.



I have been searching all my life and around 1984, I hired a Private Investigator. He told

me that my last name at birth was King and that my grandmother's first name was Faye/Fay

and my grandfather's first name was Charles and my birth mother's name was Pamela King

and she named me Rose King . I looked for her and could not find anything for about a

year. I was writing and calling every Pamela King in the United States as well as sending

letters without any responses. I have also written twice to Dr. Phil as well as Geraldo, Jenny

Jones, Rickie Lake and anyone else that I thought could have helped me but again, I never

received any responses.



On my eighteenth birthday, I got all dressed up and went to the Pomona Valley Hospital

thinking I would finally get the info I needed. Once again disappointment. I thought that

was going to be the day. What they DID let me do is go into the three rooms that had

the only three babies born that day and look at everything that she would have seen.

I was there for about 8 hours and I really saw what she would have seen on the day of

my birth. I also had the address for a Charles King in Los Angeles and got all dressed

up and knocked on the door. I don't even know if it was the right house. They were of

a different race but I told them my story and they let me in. They let me go into every

room slowly as well as the back yard and front yard and just really look and it was very

interesting. I saved some dirt, grass rocks things like that from the yard too.



Anyway I have always asked my adoptive mother for my info but she would never give

it to me. We were not close until after my adoptive father had passed ten years ago. I

have four children and three grandchildren. They are my life. My oldest son is from a

different father as I had gotten pregnant when I was young as well. I was seventeen. I

was married twice and the second time, I had three more children - two girls and one boy.



My life has not at all been easy. I call the adoption agency every year at my birthday

and Christmas just to see if they have heard anything but of course it is always the same

answer of 'No.' I am am now 49 years old and I am not in the best of health. I just want

to make my life complete because it never has been. I know that it was not at all her that

did not want me. The investigator told me that in the papers, she asked to hold me as well

as keep me.



I am not looking to hurt anyone or ask for anything. All I am looking for is closure. I am

looking for my birth mother to let me hear her heartbeat and look into her eyes and hold

me for a minute. I don't know what that feels like. I am a very emotional person and am

a Taurus to the tee as I am an honorable, loving, caring, GOD fearing woman. I help a

lot of people do a lot things. I think God is calling me again and I hope we still have time

to meet. I am going to ask about my siblings and am very interested in having them know

who my family is as well as myself. This is so important to me and I think if she really just

knew about me, both of us would have closure. If anyone out there could help me with

anything it would really change my life.



I am a very emotional person and there is so much more to tell and I just don't have anyone

that really understands me.
