My mother was a single woman that gave birth to me at the age of 19. She was from Burlington County NJ. She gave birth at Hannaman Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa. On July 26, 1966 at approximately 9:00 am. She decided to put me up for adoption the next day. I am not sure if the father knew that she was pregnant. I am glad she chose to have me. I was given to my adoptive parents at 4 days old. The lawyer who handled the adoption took me to my parents. It was private because back then a Catholic and a Methodist could not use an adoption agency. The adoption was finalized 8 months later. March? 1967. I grew up happy and healthy with great parents and a beautiful home. After my father passed my mother decided to tell me the truth this August. I am now 46 and looking for a woman that had a baby in Philadelphia in 1966! The adoption took place in Montgomery county where I grew up.
