My birth father was from Wisconsin and my birth mother was from Michigan. He was in the military and had lived in California. He has two sons. My birth mother and father left their home states and traveled to California where they lived in Martinez, CA for the duration of the pregnancy and at least three months after I was born. They made frequent visits until the adoption was complete. They concealed the pregnancy and my birth from their families. I do know from the adoption case worker that my mother struggled with the decision to put me up for adoption. She wanted to raise me, but seemed unsure of her abilities to effectively do so. I was born with a minor hip dysplasia and had to wear braces on my legs for a short time. Three months after my birth, my mother signed the adoption papers. I want her to know that I have always known I was adopted and I have always wondered about her. I have been actively searching since 2002 but have run into hurdles trying to find her. I would very much welcome the opportunity to reconnect with her and the rest of my birth family.
