Mother was a Polish waitress born between 1923 and 1925. She had 3 children and was estranged from her husband. My sister, born around 1943-44 was aware of the pregnancy and my birth. There were two other children but, gender is unknown. \nFather was German laborer or blacksmith, presumably in Buffalo born between 1924 and 1926 . Father was a widower with two children. He chose not to stay with my mother when he found out about the pregnancy. \nAdoption was handled through Sisters of Catholic Charities and records were sealed. I was adopted by John and Mary Ann (Szarleta) Wagner who lived in Buffalo/Lackawanna area. I believe I was 6-9 months old when I was adopted.
