I have 2 half sisters i would love to find. my mom was born in mississippi and had polio and was adopted by ben and eula higgs from leake, ms by age 6 or so. she is on the 1940 census as living with them along with their birth daughter sarah ellen higgs age 2 and another adopted daughter named parlile smith age 12 (at time of 1940 census) i believe my mom, bernice mayhan is related to either ben higgs or eula odom higgs, his wife. i would like to find any of my birth relatives and would be happy just to be able to trace my ancestory even if they dont wish to meet me.
