My father was adopted. What little I know is that he was born Shawn Edward Scarpone (spelling could be off). Then his name was changed 6 months later to John Edward Scarpone. he was adopted around the age of 4 and name was changed again to John Joseph Mahon. He grew up in Hicksville NY. Told me he remember his mother as tall and beautiful but had bad teeth? One of his sisters (not biological) says that she found a baby pic that their adoptive father says was John. On the back of the pic it had Shaun Laforge written in their adoptive mother's handwriting. Don't know if this was actually a pic of my father or not. A
