I am reseaching for my mother. She is an adoptee in Los Angelos county. Her birthdate was in April 1956. After a five year battle she was finall adopted to a John and Flo Ana Curtis. The Judge that decreed the adoption last name was Koenig. My mothe is biracial. Half caucasion and half native american. According to a Jet magazine article in October 1962 her mother was a 'mentally retarded white girl'. Her father is supposed to be African American however, nobody knows who he is. Also, in the article it stated that the adoptive parents knew the birthmother's parents. My mother has very little information because her adoptive parents would never talk about it. Anybody with any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
