I was born in Mineola Village, Long Island, with an older sister, Susan and a younger brother came in 1952, possibly born in a town named Cherry Hill. The winter of 1952/3 mother took us to Ottawa and put us in the care of CASO in February, 1953. I was in foster care, and later at Protestant Children's Village on Carling Avenue. Mother was a dietitian at Ottawa Civic Hospital a few blocks down the street. My adoption started in 1957. My adoptive mother wanted to adopt Susan as well, but adoptive father said no.
