She was treated, recovered, worked there as a Private Duty nurse, got Breast Cancer, had a Mastectomy, and did in April 1941.\n My mother was out in the Methodist Children's Home in Jackson, Hinds County, MS. She was taken as a Fister Child and then Adopted by Harry Ray Hiatt and Bertha B. Shaw Hiatt. The adoption was final in 1937.
