I am in search of my late mother's biological father and mother. We have no written records of my mothers biological origins, or her adoption and all information comes from a relative who tells us, of what was told to them. My mother's place of birth is unknown but was possibly Ingham or Marquette County, Michigan. My mothers year of birth was 1922. My mother was adopted in September 1923 by Chester and Jane Rood of Flint, Genesee County, Michigan, who drove to Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan to receive her. The Roods were thought to be Catholic. My mother was first told about her adoption when she and other family members were at a lawyers office for the reading of her father and or mothers will in 1940/1941. The name of the birth mother may be, Agnes Ulman, born in September 1898, in Michigan. Please note that there are various spellings of Ulman, and that the information on the birth mother's name is not confirmed. We do not have any idea as to the identity of the birth father. We did not find out my mother was adopted until my mother was in her final days in 2017, and was unable to answer any questions. We believe the information provided is accurate but needs to be independently confirmed. My mother's married name was Mary Frances Rentz, and she is remembered in Find A Grave, memorial number, 182555880. You help in this matter is already greatly appreciated.
