I believe my mother was between 14-18 years old when she gave birth to a boy in North Dakota. Her dad worked and her family lived in Williston at that time. She allegedly left her baby unnamed so the adoptive family could name him. My mother passed away many years ago and I just found out about this adoption. It was a closed adoption and I have no idea if the state or church services handled the adoption.
