Additional Info
My adopted daughter has abandoned me and she has stolen all of the info I had on her adoption, including her birth certificate; leaving me with no legal proof that I ever adopted a child. We had always planned to search for her birth family together. Now, she has replaced me with her boyfriend's family and also is searching for her birth family. I am searching for the daughter who once loved, the precious daughter who called me Mom. She has disappeared; in the physical, emotional and psychological sense. What she has left in her wake is nothing but grief, pain and sorrow. And, the knowledge that all I have are memories. If anyone can help locate her, pls help her to understand that in betraying me, she has lost the one person in her life who truly loves her. I can survive this, but our Mother-Daughter bond is now damaged beyond measure; the irony of it all is that she does not care how much pain she causes me. I have been a good Mom, always put my daughter first, always loved her and provided for her every need; this is how she treats her Mom. I pity anyone who tries to love this 20 year old young woman; there is a cruelty in her that a Mother's greatest love cannot overcome. I have to ask myself: Would I do it all over again, would I adopt, knowing what I know now? My answer is, 'no.' Although I knew the joys of mothering, I am left with such a depth of betrayal and grief that I cannot bear it. And I have a daughter out there who could not possibly care less.
