Additional Info
I sadly confess that I believe my son to think that I am not living. The story and the lie behind the hidden pregnancy was an attempt to protect the the birth father from prosecution , incarceration and loss of promising military career. as a 15-year-old pregnant female in 1991, I made some choices out of fear and complete lack of support. I was bullied and assaulted daily but jealous females in the small town that I was trying desperately to be invisible in.\n \n As our lives were constantly threatened\n\ndeath threats and emotional torture consumed me, I lied to anyone that would confront me including my parents. \n\n I was constantly living in fear and carrying the secret that I would protect with my life. Sadly, School faculty chose to look the opposite direction when bullies trapped me and assault me out in the open in broad daylight in a small town public high School setting. Alone, rejected and feeling hopeless and afraid, I was having suicidal ideations so my lie grew bigger along with my belly and more protected until at one point my parents got a phone call from the local mean girls telling them that I was carrying a child in secret and gave the name of the father. By the time my parents noticed I was carrying my child I was in labor and would give birth under an alias to hide my parents shame. I gave birth and a hospital 30 mi away in \nSecret . My parents were only 40 years old and as I was under anesthesia I heard clearly that an adoption was quickly arranged and within hours of my giving birth in the child was taken from me and likely never to be seen again. The adoption happened quietly and secretly in the courthouse In Payne county where the once young attorney is now a judge. \n The anger, confusion, grief and hopelessness consumed me for several years. Year after year the emotional breakdowns consumed me and disrupted the lives of anyone that attempted to ignore, whitewash and even pretend that the family secret would be buried forever. I spoke loudly and unapologetically about the truth of this child as I came of age .married and began a new family. 33 years later I still long, to know this child who is now a man and still very much a part of my life and is connected to the deepest core of my being \n
