Additional Info
I had an open adoption and have always known who my birth mother was. She has always claimed she didn't know anything about my birth father, other than that his nickname was 'Toby' and she met him in Florida. She has told many different stories about him at this point and we have tried everything to find out more about him but haven't had any luck. Even my adoptive mother who lived with my birth mother for 3 weeks before I was born doesn't believe that she doesn't know who he is. We think her college room mate might know, but no one in the family can remember her name.
