I was born after a 40 week pregnancy and after an eighteen-hour labor. Although delivery began normally, due to me being in cardio-pulmonary distress, an emergency C-section was done. I weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz. and was 20" long. My birth mother's RH Factor was O+. I was delivered by Dr. D. Cagle, and the attending pediatrician was Dr. Joseph Savona, who also approved me for adoption. My birth mother was 5'2" and weighed 135 lbs., and had light brown hair, blue eyes, and a medium complexion. She was Irish, German, and 1/8 Indian. She attended school until the 11th grade and was interested in horseback riding, fishing, and swimming. She had no allergies or operations and was in good health. She had four brothers and three sisters. My birth father was 5'11" tall, weighed 200 lbs., and had blonde hair, blue eyes, and a medium complexion. He was Irish, Australian and "Luthian" (?) He attended school until the 11th grade, had artistic abilities and liked to work on cars. He had no allergies or operations and, in general, was in good health. According to my adoptive parents' caseworker at Children's Home Society, my birth mother reported that my birth father had an alcohol problem. I was with my adoptive parents as of August 25, 1982, eight days after my birth due to some bruising because of my traumatic birth. (I was with a foster family during that time.) I was legally adopted as of March 25, 1983.
