I was born late January 1981 and left on the St Edwards Catholic Church doorsteps just a couple days old. The doctors guessed my birthday to be January 25th. There was a note left with me saying 'My name is Elizabeth Ann. Please find me a good home and take good care of me.' A couple weeks later, a letter was mailed to the Shelton Police Department saying 'To whom it may conern, I am the mother of the girl that you found at the church. I am only 16 years old and I don't have a job and I want her to have a good home. I am leaving town so I hope you find her a good home. Please understand.' The police department and social services released a copy of the letters to my adoptive parents.
