Being Catholic when my sister Sandra Jean got pregnant at 16 years old in April of 1971 parents took her to Lakeland Florida Catholic Unwed Mothers home until she gave birth in Bartow Hospital. She had gone into labor in the early morning hours on 10/04/1971 the Catholic Social worker drove her to Bartow Hospital where she gave birth to a baby girl at 2:38 pm delivering Dr. Coury The hospital staff Nurses etc would NOT let her hold the baby they let her view the baby from bed to door about 15 ft. She wrote everything into a log about her stay at the unwed mothers home to what they did to her in the Bartow Hospital. The hospital official brought her birth certificate to sign and she filled the entire areas out Birth Mothers Name, dob, Birth Fathers Name. Child Birth Name: Michelle Ann Gala. When the official came back to get the document she seen that Sandra filled the areas out and became very angry. That was the only piece of document Sandra ever seen from the hospital. There were not relinquishing parental rights documents given to her to sign off on or anything. Catholic Charities of Tampa, Pinellas ,Florida has the adoption file Mrs Woody
