I do not know my birth name or any identifying info about bio family. The adoption was handled by catholic charities/social services and St. Joeseph Maternity home. My biological mother was born in California and moved to Ohio at 6 weeks of age.She had several younger siblings (maybe 5 or 6). Her 16 year old sister knew of the adoption. Father was not notified. Bio grandfather had once been in the military. Biological grandmother had 8th grade education, 'short stature and dark complexion but ethnic background unknown', Bio father background listed as french, bio grandfather was listed as Irish and some other(maybe german or french). I spent aprox 2 weeks at maternity home prior to placement. I was adopted by Joan and George Ross- both teachers.
