Birth mother was 19 years old at time of birth and not married, although had been previously engaged to father. She was 5'1' tall weighing 130lbs. She had dark hair, brown eyes, medium complexion and broad features. Birth father was 20 years old at time of birth. He was described as being 5'8' or 5'9' tall with a slender build. He had light brown hair, slightly curly with blue eyes and medium complexion. Mother described father as having 'crooked spine', which she thought he was born with. Mother and father both completed high school as average students. Father had some musical ability/interest. Both parents were Protestant. Mother had one older sister, father had five siblings. Birth mother deemed it to be in his best interest to be adopted as she would not be able to financially provide for him. At the time she was unemployed and father was unwilling and unable to accept the responsibility of marriage and paternity. He was placed on 11/4/1969 into his adoptive home. Adoption was finalized on June 15, 1970.
