My mother was 16/17 when she because pregnant w/me. There was little info on my father besides the fact that he was in his 30’s, divorced & remarried w/several (maybe 5) sons from the 2 marriages. He was still married to the 2nd wife at the time of my birth. My mother’s parents were already divorced in 1966, which was probably not very common back then. My mother didn’t want them to know she was pregnant so she moved in w/a cousin, possibly named “Faith”, who lived in Concord, MA. She could have been from anywhere but assuming it was probably east coast as it would be difficult for a 16yr old to go very far. She got a job as a welder to save money for her medical bills. She was very tall - 5’11”, reddish hair, fair skin & light colored eyes. For some reason the name “Linda” stands out as something I had heard in my childhood as perhaps being her name, but not sure. She named me after her cousin Faith & immediately put me up for adoption through the state of MA. I was in foster care for 3 months & then was adopted by a wonderful couple who lived in East Longmeadow, MA. They had adopted my sister 2 years earlier. I had a nice family life. My dad passed unexpectedly 2.5yrs ago & my mom is now 83 & in poor health. I never had a desire to meet my birth mother but I guess the reality of being parentless at some point is weighing heavy on me. I have always seen what my birth mother did for me as a truly unselfish act of love.
