Additional Info
The couple that adopted the baby girl (my sister) were a Jewish couple from New York. The birth father was Jewish but I do not believe she listed him on the birth certificate. I know that my mother was sent to a home for unwed mothers before giving birth at Mary Immaculate Hospital. There was some sort of problem with the adoption because my grandmother said when I was about 12 mos old the courts contacted my mother and she had to go before a judge who told her the final papers were not signed/legal issue and she could have her baby back if she wanted. She did not want to take the baby away from the parents who had been raising her as their own for 2 yrs at that point.
