Searching for my biological paternal grandfather. Karen Kay Schmidt (maiden name) was my mother. Born to Patricia Gayle Akers in New Albany Indiana. She was later adopted by Patricia's husband Richard (Dick) Schmidt. My mother also had a half sister Kristina Schmidt. I was told that her biological father reached out to her when she was 18, but I do not know his name. I would like to reconnect, I am his biological grandson.
