When Ohio unsealed adoption records a few years ago, I applied for a copy of my original birth certificate. I was adopted at the age of two (in foster care birth to adoption). My adoption was not a family secret. The only information my adoptive parents were given was that my birth mother was white, single, and had another child before me. The shocker was seeing me listed as the THIRD live birth, which means I have two siblings somewhere. I know one is a brother, but now I might have a sister too?! (or two brothers!) Can't find any connection to Barbara to ANY children from current research. Would love for her to know I had a wonderful childhood!
