According to my non-ID information from the state of Florida, my birth parents were married at one point and then divorced. I was conceived when they met to discuss a reconciliation. When my mother found out she was pregnant, my father offered to remarry her. She refused because of his drinking and past abusive behavior. I have a full sister named Tina who was born in the summer of 1958. I have a half brother named Joseph who was born in the summer of 1959. One of them also was placed for adoption, but I don't know which one. Dr. William Taylor arranged my adoption.
Charles Roberts was the attorney who handled the adoption.
I was born with a birth defect and was transferred to Children's Variety Hospital in Miami. I stayed there for a month before I was adopted in October 1960.
I was listed as Baby Mitchell on the notice of my final adoption hearing. This was the name of the man from whom my birth mother was separated at the time. It is not the name of my birth father.
