Mom said she was at a 'all girl's home in St. Louis Missouri for most of her pregnancy which was located close to General Hospital. The baby was born between July 4 - 10th. Ms. Chapin (a probation officer/court officer from Illinois) handled the adoption arrangements back in Decatur, Illinois where the adoption was finalized in the judge's chamber. We have been told that it was a doctor and his wife that worked with my aunt that adopted him but do not know for sure but my aunt kept in touch with them over the years. (She passed before we found this out).
