Whiteside listed as last name on pre-adoption birth certificate. Birth mother also sign birth certificate at Lillian Rae Whiteside, although she told me they had never been married. Per birth mother, father's first name was Hap. Other possible name (Milton Elbert Whiteside DOB: 12/13/1914) is information gathered from ancestry.com, but unconfirmed. Per birth mother, he was originally from Keokuk, Iowa, had been a race car driver, prize fighter and inmate. Possibly incarcerated in Arizona for murder, but pardoned. All unconfirmed. I do know that he was at least an acquiantance of my adoptive father, who was a tire shop owner/operator in Portland, Oregon in 1958 (at the time of my birth). He may also have been friends with George and Ethel Arntchen and Art and Mabel Kelly.
