I'm African-American. The name that I was given was James Strong but later in adulthood I changed my name to James Rashad Taalib Mateen. I was born in Richmond, Va. Lillian Askew (maiden name) was listed as my mother and Benjamin Strong is listed as my father on my birth certificate. The number on my birth certificate is 4328857. I was told my several people that I was adopted, but my mother always denied it. I just want to know the truth.
