Additional Info
The information I rec'd from St. Ann's Infant and Maternity Home is that my mom was 18 and her family couldn't financially help her to support me. Her father had emphysema. My records are sealed. I haven't tried to unseal them because I didn't have the financial means to do so and I don't trust Catholic Charities. The option was that the records would be unsealed, I would pay $700 plus for the search, they would ask my birth mother if she wanted me to know her and if not, that would be the end of it. At this point, I am 62 now, I'm certain that she is deceased, but I would like to be able to find family members and know my story.
