My mother was adopted as a child to a Jewish family in 1955 who was born in Maine. Her birthday is Nov. 19, 1955. We know her family was from Canada and it was said that her mother was very young. I am attempting to know more about my mothers heritage. I took an ancestry test and it said we are Acadians from Canada. I feel like half of my story is missing. I would appreciate any help I can get.
