My birth mother went to Susan Speed Davis Home for Unwed Mothers until I was born. She was originally from Mulenburg County in Kentucky. She was married, but had an affair and I was the product of that affair. So she was indeed married when she was at the home for 'unwed mothers.' Her husand was fighting in the Korea during the war. That was when she had the affair. Apparently, my birthfather left her when he learned she was pregnant. Since I was not her husband's child, she chose to have me adopted.

I have had a wonderful life...and a great childhood. I just want my birthmother to know that I am fine and have never been angry about being adopted. It was probably the best thing that ever happened to me!!
