Alberta was born in Monroe County, FL and raised by her birth parents until she was 2 to 4 and then adopted by a Smith family from Miami, FL. She has 10 siblings and 4 or 5 of them were also adopted out at various ages. There are 6 living Galvin siblings and a newly found sister, Betsy (age 61), that have reconnected and they would love to find her and know her. Sister Barbara is battling cancer so time is of the essence. She has long wished to find Alberta and Kathleen, both adopted young and not yet located. Update 12/2011: Kathleen has been located and now happily in touch with Barbara and her other siblings. We are still hoping to find Alberta.
