I became aware that my mother had given birth to a son about 1year& prior to my birth in 1950. I do not know who his father was, but was told that he was married. All that I know is that he was adopted in Indiana and was born there or in Wi. , possibly Rock Island. I was told that she named him John and the adopting parents renamed him Mike. Birth mother was working as a telephone operator at the time.
