My grandmother was Naomi Ruth Geeding Barnes(DOB 20 Jan 1920). She had a child while my Grandfather was away for WWII. He was discharged from the army in July 1946. We have letters and notes from other family members that Grandma was 6 months pregnant when he came home. It is our understanding the father of the baby was Robert Lyons of Union City, IN or OH. That city is right on the state line. He had some job the involved the milk route that Grandma ran for Grandpa while he was away. Grandma went to Michigan to have the baby, because that is where her sister and brother-in-law lived. They lived in 3 areas while they were in Michigan: Flint, Ypsilanti, Plymouth. Their names were Esther and Howard Hockett.
