Adoption was private, arranged by the attending doctor. Adopting family was professional or medical. Adopting mother got pregnant after adoption was arranged and continued the adoption, so child will have a sibling very close in age. Birth Mother is from Spring Lake NJ, sent to Jacksonville to have baby. BM and BF were probably not married. Private adoption handled by a friend or professional acquaintance of Johnson family lawyer Joseph Mirne of Asbury Park NJ. BF was also from Spring Lake NJ, was about 4 years older than BM, was rich with no obivious means of support in the 1940's. Child's date of birth was sometime after the 16th of January. Child was about 7 pounds and 21 inches. Child's hair was black at birth. BM lived in a boarding house on Riverside or in the 5 Points area, near Post St.

I am the child's half sister. My mother told me in the late 1950's about the child she gave up for adoption. She did not mention the child again until the 1980's when she started searching for the child. I promised her before she died in 1996 that I would find her child, my half-brother.
