I was told my mother was born in Richmond VA. and was about 12-18 mos old when she was adopted. I only know of the last name of 'Burns' and that her father was in the war. Her mom might have died at birth, not sure. Her birth mom's sister 'Christine' was caring for her and brought her to be adopted. I guess the family was dirt poor and could not care for her.
