My Mother thinks there could be a mistake with her actual birthdate. Although records she has states May 6th, 1936 she thought that her real birthdate could actually be May 5th, 1936. From what she was told, her mother was of legal age at the time of her birth. Her maternal grandfather forced an anullment between her birth mother and father, as the daughter became pregnant from one of the father's employees. So, it sounds like they actually got married, but they were then forced to get an anullment and my Mom's mother was force to give her away. It was also said that the stipulation was that my Mother was to be raised Catholic. She was adopted to Elizabeth Causeman Peebles and John Weir Peebles who had been married already at that time for about 10 yrs. My Mom's mom was German/Irish and my Mom's Dad was Scotch. He worked for the Penn railroad and the last name of the lawyer who did the adoption was a man by the last name of Redmond who was from Bensenville, IL. Thank you and hope this helps.
