My grandmother, Lillian was a 19 year old single mother. I received adoption papers for information on my Mother, but no father was listed. They did not list a hospital birth. The state was unable to find a birth record for either June 18,1923 which was listed as birth date by Jackson County, or June 29th which my Mother was told was her birth date by adoptive parents William & Elizabeth Pulling residing in Parma, MI. Was an inmate of the Coldwater Home in Branch County at the time of her adoption, but brought to Foote hospital in Jackson, MI for care during adoption proceedings.
